Also identify the transverse humeral ligament which spans between the greater and lesser tubercles of the humerus. It crosses the bicipital groove and lies superficial to the tendon of the long head of the biceps brachii muscle and holds the tendon in the intertubercular sulcus. The tendon then passes through the interior of the fibrous capsule of the shoulder joint and attaches to the supraglenoid tubercle of the scapula ( see Laboratory Ten). Links and References: |
