Step 16. Adductor Pollicis Muscle

Identify the adductor pollicis muscle. It arises as two heads. The oblique head arises from the capitate bone and the bases of the second and third metacarpals. The transverse head arises from the palmar aspect of the third metacarpal. The deep palmar arterial arch passes between the two heads. Identify the deep branch of the ulnar nerve that supplies this muscle.
