Identify the acromial process of the scapula, coracoid process of the scapula, and acromioclavicular ligaments [located lateral to retractor] which surround the acromial end of the clavicle and connect it to the acromion. Between the acromial end of the clavicle and the coracoid process, identify the coracoclavicular ligament. It has two components, the trapezoid ligament and the conoid ligament. Finally, identify the coracoacromial ligament [above probe], which is superior to the head of the humerus. Links and References: |
