In the video image of the anterior aspect of the left elbow joint, the overlying soft tissues were removed. Identify the distal end of the humerus, lateral epicondyle, and medial epicondyle. Through the joint capsule, identify the outline of the trochlea of the humerus, capitulum of the humerus, and head of the radius. Inferior to the intact fibrous capsule, identify the neck of the radius, radial tuberosity, and proximal ulna. On the external surface of the fibrous capsule, identify the ulnar (medial) collateral ligament and the radial (lateral) collateral ligament. At the inferior border of the fibrous capsule at the head of the radius, identify the annular ligament. The inferior border of the annular ligament is indicated by the probe tip placed beneath its border.Links and References: |
