The objective of this laboratory is to examine the relationship of the various structures which lie beneath the gluteus maximus muscle. As the dissection proceeds, the piriformis muscle is the reference point for the identification of the vessels and nerves which pass through the greater sciatic foramen, superior and inferior to this muscle. |
