Identify the openings of the superior vena cava [probe] and inferior vena cava [probe]. At the opening of the inferior vena cava, locate the nonfunctional remnant of the valve of the inferior vena cava [cross-section]. On the posterior wall of the right atrium just superior to the opening of the inferior vena cava, locate also the ostium of the coronary sinus [cross-section ].
