Two different approaches will be used to study the anatomical organization of the orbit (Figure 29.1). The bony roof of one orbit will be removed in a superior approach to study the nerves, vessels, and extraocular muscles. In the other orbit, the eyeball will be removed in an anterior approach and the orientation of the extraocular muscles will be examined. Finally, an eyeball will be hemisected and the anatomy of the eye will be studied. |
