The ostium (opening) [tip of probe] of the sphenoid sinus opens into the sphenoethmoidal recess, the space posterior and superior to the superior nasal turbinate (Figure 33.4).
Upon completion of steps 1-7, the pterygopalatine fossa, the site where several important branches arise from the maxillary nerve V2 and the maxillary artery will be studied. This fossa is also the location of the pterygopalatine ganglion.Links and References:
