In this laboratory exercise, the boundaries and contents of the inguinal canal of both male and female will be examined. Additionally, the scrotum will be opened and its contents identified. The course of the spermatic cord in the male and the round ligament of the uterus in the female will be traced. The fascial layers and contents of the spermatic cord will be examined in detail. Dissection of the penis will be performed later ( see Laboratory Forty-Two). |
