To accommodate changes in the volume of the stomach, the arteries lie at a distance (1-3 cm) from the stomach wall. This allows increase in the volume of the stomach without compromising the arterial blood supply. Identify the multiple gastric branches supplying the stomach and the omental branches supplying the greater omentum from both right and left gastroepiploic arteries.
