Examine the parts of the large intestine, which include:
- cecum
- vermiform appendix
- ascending colon
- transverse colon
- descending colon
- sigmoid colon
- rectum
- anal canal
The rectum and anal canal lie within the pelvic cavity and will be studied during the dissection of the pelvis.
