Detach the crura of the clitoris from the ischiopubic rami 
and reflect them laterally.
Laterally, the deep perineal pouch extends to the ischiopubic rami and anteriorly, to the transverse perineal ligament, which is formed by the fusion of the superior and inferior fascias of the urogenital diaphragm. The posterior extent of this pouch is the posterior border of the urogenital diaphragm.
