Identify the urethra and trace its course from the bladder to the vestibule of the vagina. The urethra lies parallel and anterior to the vagina. The first part of the urethra, which is located superior to the urogenital dia- phragm, is called the supradiaphragmatic part. The second part, the membranous part of the urethra, passes through the urogenital diaphragm. The infradiaphragmatic part of the urethra ends as the external urethral orifice in the vestibule of the vagina (Figure 43.4).Links and References:
