(1 of 3) Initially in this laboratory exercise, the boundaries and contents of the cubital fossa, a triangular shaped depression that lies anterior to the elbow joint, will be considered.
The boundaries of the cubital fossa are:
- base - an imaginary line between the medial and lateral epicondyles of the humerus
- medial border - pronator teres muscle
- lateral border - brachioradialis muscle
- floor - brachialis muscle and tendon of biceps brachii muscle
