• The quadratus plantae muscle, [identified in another cadaver] takes origin from the calcaneus and inserts into the tendon of flexor digitorum longus muscle.
• The flexor digitorum longus muscle tendon divides into four tendons, [identified in another cadaver ] which insert into the distal phalanx of toes 2, 3, 4, and 5.
• The four lumbrical muscles of the foot , [identified in another cadaver ] arise from the tendons of flexor digitorum longus muscle and insert into the medial side of the extensor expansion of the toes.
