Finally, identify the peroneus longus tendon which insert on the plantar surface of the foot. Cut the abductor digiti minimi muscle near its origin and reflect it distally to expose the peroneus longus tendon [identified in another cadaver]. The peroneus longus muscle functions in eversion of the foot.
