Beneath the mediastinal pleura of the left pleural cavity [lateral view] (Figure 19.4), identify the following:
The pericardiacophrenic vessels accompany the phrenic nerve. The artery is a branch of the internal thoracic artery. The vein drains into the internal thoracic vein.
