To study the internal aspect of the right atrium, make a vertical incision through the anterior wall of the right atrium (Figure 20.5). The incision should parallel the coronary sulcus and extend from the auricle to a point 1 cm superior to the entrance of the inferior vena cava. At the superior end of this incision make a transverse cut to the tip of the right auricle [cross-section]. At the inferior end of the initial incision, make a lateral cut about 5 cm in length. Now open the flap of the anterior wall of the right atrium . Links and References:
