Trace the course of the hypoglossal nerve (CN XII) through the submandibular triangle. The nerve enters the triangle under the posterior belly of the digastric muscle and disappears as it passes deep to the mylohyoid muscle. Identify the nerve to the mylohyoid muscle, a branch of the mandibular nerve (V3), which also supplies the anterior belly of the digastric muscle.
