Remove the brain in the following manner. Examine the reflection of the meningeal layer of the dura mater, called the falx cerebri which extends between the left an right cerebral hemispheres. Cut the falx cerebri at its anterior attachment and reflect it posteriorly. Next, elevate the cerebral hemispheres and cut the following structures to remove the brain [note: each of the twelve cranial nerves will be cut as the brain is removed]:
