Using a superior view of the right anterior cranial fossa, remove the dura mater that covers the anterior cranial fossa . Using bone pliers or a Stryker saw, remove the orbital plate of the frontal bone as far posteriorly as the optic canal . Do this procedure with care to protect the underlying nerves and vessels. Next, identify and remove the periosteum of the orbit, known as periorbital periosteum.
