(2 of 2) The nerves associated with the mucosa of the lateral nasal wall are branches of the ophthalmic, maxillary and olfactory nerves. The branches of the ophthalmic nerve are located in the anterior one-third of the lateral nasal wall, and the branches of the maxillary nerve are located in the posterior two-thirds of the lateral nasal wall. The origin of vessels of the lateral nasal wall is similar to that of the medial nasal wall, except that it does not receive branches from the greater palatine artery.
