Remove deep investing fascia covering the external abdominal oblique muscle. This procedure exposes the fibers of this muscle that courses in interior and anterior directions. The muscle fibers end lateral to the linea semilunaris but its tendon continues as a broad, flattened sheet called an aponeurosis. Medial to the linea semilunaris, identify the aponeurosis of the external abdominal oblique muscle, that forms a part of the anterior layer of the rectus sheath.Links and References:
