Now identify the lobes of the liver:
Functionally and surgically, the quadrate and caudate lobes are considered to be part of the left lobe. Anatomically, they are part of the right lobe, as defined by the attachment of the falciform ligament on the diaphragmatic surface of the liver (Figure 38.4A).
