Follow the labia minora anteriorly and observe that they each divide into two folds before uniting at the midline. The posterior folds attach to the posterior surface of the clitoris to form the frenulum of the clitoris. The anterior folds come together to form the prepuce (hood) of the clitoris. Between the two anterior divisions of the labia minora, identify the glans of the clitoris.
