Step 3. Hemisection of the Male Pelvis

To facilitate the study of the internal organs hemisect the pelvis . Cut the soft tissues of the pelvis and perineum with a knife or scalpel and extend the incisions through the sacrum and lumbar vertebra with a saw .

Upon completion of the hemisection, identify the major organs. These organs from anterior to posterior are (Figure 44.2):
