Remove the peritoneum and the underlying adipose tissue from the lateral pelvic wall. Identify the structures located immediately posterior to the bladder (Figure 44.3):

• ampulla of the ductus deferens, is the dilated continuation of the ductus deferens
• seminal vesicles, are the two bulbous sacs located laterally to the ampullae of the ductus deferens.
• excretory duct of the seminal vesicle, [located just above the tip of the probe] joins at an acute angle with the ampulla of ductus deferens
