Cervical spine radiograph, AP projectionThe cervical vertebrae are characterized by solid bony cylinders just lateral to the spinal canal (and posterolateral to the pedicles) whose superior and inferior surfaces form articular processes that interface with the equivalent vertebral surface on the adjacent vertebrae, creating the intervertebral articulations. Cervical spinous processes are often bifid. |
