6. Male pelvis MRI #1, axial plane

The plane of imaging is through the ischial tuberosities, inferior to the pubic symphysis.

The spermatic cords are seen in the inguinal canals near their exits at the superficial inguinal rings. The corpora cavernosa are also sectioned in the dorsal part of the penis. The insertion of the iliopsoas muscles onto the lesser trochanters of the femurs is also seen. As on Image #5 (CT #2) the ischiorectal fossae are well visualized here.
