13. Chest (mediastinum) MRI #6, axial planeThe plane of imaging is at the level of the T7 vertebra. The L. Atrium is located just below the carina, and its appendage (the auricle) is seen to contribute to the left mediastinal profile (see Image #1 and Image #4), as does the main pulmonary artery. The ascending aorta and superior vena cava both contribute to the right mediastinal profile on the PA chest film. |
