15. Arteriorgram — arm
The axillary artery is the continuation of the subclavian artery beyond the outer border of the first rib. It traverses the axilla with the axillary vein and brachial plexus and gives branches to the thoracic wall, axillary structures, and the shoulder joint. The brachial artery is the continuation of the axillary artery beyond the lower border of the teres major. In the arm it is superficial and lies medial to the biceps muscle, with the median nerve. Its main branch, the profunda brachii artery, runs a spiral course in the radial groove of the humerus with the radial nerve.
