17. Arteriogram — hand

At the wrist the radial artery turns laterally around the radiocarpal joint onto the dorsum of the hand, then forward between the first and second metacarpals to enter the palm of the hand, where it ends as the deep palmar arch, anastamosing with deep branches of the ulnar artery. The ulnar artery enters the palm superficial to the flexor retinaculum and ends by forming the superficial palmar arch, which anastamoses with the terminal branches of the radial artery.
