6. Shoulder MRI, oblique sagittal plane

The plane of the image is parallel to (and nearly at the surface of) the glenohumeral joint: anteromedial is to the viewer's left, and posterolateral to the right. The neurovascular bundle is not visualized, but would be inferior to the glenoid between the teres minor and subscapularis muscles. All four rotator cuff muscles are seen surrounding the joint. Note how the supraspinatus tendon separates the shoulder joint (i.e., glenoid fossa in this plane) from the subacromial/subdeltoid bursal region above.
