8. Elbow radiograph, lateral projectionFor this view the elbow is partially flexed, about 90°, and the thumb points upward away from the table top. This positions the forearm midway between full supination and full pronation. The elbow rests on the film cassette on the table and the x-ray tube is aimed at it vertically from above.
